Timber Falls on Worker’s leg - $2 MILLION
The plaintiff, a middle-aged construction worker, was injured when a load of timbers which was
being hoisted fell and injured his leg. He was left with a permanent limp. In this matter the
plaintiffs were able to achieve a settlement of $1,400,987.50 and additional monthly payments to the plaintiff for the remainder of his lifetime. The total value of the settlement package, had a
value of over $2 million.
Fall from Scaffold - $550,000
In this matter, the law firm of Bonina & Bonina was able to achieve $550,000 settlement and a waiver of a worker’s compensation lien of $140,000 on behalf of a man who had fallen from a scaffold
and injured his back while working at construction site. The defendant argued that damages were limited by the fact that the plaintiff had returned to work in another profession, had never had surgery and had not received on-going medical care.
Fall from Scaffold- $275,000
In this matter the plaintiff an asbestos removal worker, fell from a scaffold at a removal site and sustained a concussion as well as an injury to his rotator cuff. The case was settled for $275,000.
